Ritual Prayer and Braiding Sweetgrass
In this workshop, we will delve deep into the concept of prayer. In exploration we discuss the highest frequency of prayer, gratitude, as well as faith, belief systems, traditions and how prayer is ‘seen’ in the higher realms. We explore what it means to work as co- creators creating with Creator, declarations and fiats!
As indigenous people, we work with Nature and the gifts/ given to us to commune with Creator. We will share with you how and why we work with plants such as sweetgrass, sage, and cedar in altars and ceremony. Together, we will ritually braid sweetgrass that you will get to take home in and use in your own rituals. In this process, we deepen our connection and become empowered to Self, Creator, Miracles and Magic.
Brandy Wade
My name is Brandy Wade, my work flows through me and into life as a yoga teacher, bodyworker, and sound ceremonialist. I am committed in my personal life to slowing down, connecting with the rhythms of nature, the outer and inner cycles, clearing karmic patterns—both mine and my ancestors’—and supporting the repatterning of the mind. My mission is to help restore balance to this planet from the inside out, guiding us back to our original essence, beauty, and joy of being. In this life, my purpose is to stay grounded in the body, to live as love, and to awaken heart consciousness on this planet, while anchoring feminine and unity consciousness. I am devoted to listening beneath the surface of what is being said, trusting the innate wisdom of the body, and learning to heed its subtle whispers.
This body is the Earth, and the Earth is this body—a sacred temple of life.
Within our body temples reside sacred waters, which can easily be imprinted by the energy of others—through sexual intercourse, the DNA of our ancestors, our thoughts, and the energies of our partners' ancestors. It is essential to tend to our sacred inner waters, to know our yes’s and no’s, and to empower ourselves through conscious choice.
Water is cleansing; water is life. The rivers of the Earth mirror the veins of blood in our bodies—without water, there is no life. So, how do we care for our inner and outer waters? Practices like vaginal steams, breast-womb massage, spirit plant baths, ancestor work, self-love and compassion, and the healing power of rose medicine are just a few of the ways we can nurture and honor this sacred flow within us.
In my life and in my work, I am increasingly committed to restoring and honoring the sacredness of the feminine. Through my life's work, I share this prayer of connection, belonging, harmony, safety, and unity—both within and without. I am eternally grateful for the Divine energy that moves through me and for the grace that carries me through every step of the way.

Kayla Wexelberg
Kayla Wexelberg is a holistic nutritionist, chef, and grief tender whose work lives at the intersection of nourishment, embodiment, and ritual. With over twenty years in the culinary world and nearly two decades devoted to holistic health, Kayla’s path has been guided by a deep reverence for culinary anthropology, the energetics of food, and the body’s innate capacity to heal.
As the founder of Taste Your Roots, she weaves together food, movement, and somatic practice to help individuals reconnect with their vitality. Her background as a chef is not separate from her grief work; rather, it is foundational. For Kayla, food is ceremony. Eating is relationship. The table is an altar where the spiritual, emotional, physical, and energetic bodies meet.
Over the past five years, Kayla has devoted herself to grief work, studying with respected teachers including Laurence Cole, Ahlay Blakey, Martin Prechtel, and most deeply, Francis Weller. She is trained in post-traumatic growth facilitation, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and parts work, bringing a trauma-informed and somatically grounded approach to her offerings. Her work honors grief as a natural and necessary response to love, loss, and change. With steady presence and attunement, she creates spaces where grief can be safely felt, expressed, and integrated within community.
Offering:
The Deep Feast
The Deep Feast is an eating meditation intended to enhance one’s awareness of nourishing the gates of many bodies. The spiritual, energetic, physical and emotional bodies all find union here as we explore what it is to connect with food far beyond the "standard" nourishment rituals that are practiced everyday. The workshop will include an array of flavors and textures and a hands-on feasting practice between participants. The feast is silent and deeply rewarding, leaving participants full on many levels.
Sacred Grief Ritual
A sacred gathering for women ready to release what is heavy and holding us down. In this circle, we create a safe and intentional space to honor grief, soften resistance, and surrender what no longer serves. For centuries, women have gathered in prayer, in song, in quiet witness to one another’s becoming. Rooted in this lineage, through guided ritual and embodied practice, you will be gently supported to let go, reconnect with your inner strength, and reclaim your vitality.
Mistress Eustacia
Mistress Eustacia is a Professional Dominatrix, a former adjunct Professor of Classics at Brooklyn College, an Advanced EMT, a recreational helicopter pilot, and an RYT-200. Eustacia has appeared on a number of BDSM related podcasts and events, offering workshops on situational awareness and self-defense, safety, and basic life support, mental health for sex workers, and using intuition, which she refers to as “The Dungeon Reflex”. As an EMS worker, she supports victims of domestic violence, placing them with appropriate advocates. As a professor, her focus was the teachings of Seneca and the tenets of Stoic philosophy, which is to protect one’s tranquility. She has worked for Calling for Karma, as a volunteer yoga instructor for incarcerated women. She sees her work as a dominatrix as “vigilante therapy”, providing a safe space for all genders to meet their trauma in the dark “subspace” of vulnerability and transcendence.
Offering:
Authentically Unapologetic
In this provocative, empowering workshop, we will discuss as a group why women so often apologize for existing, and explore the roots of over-acommodation and the transformative power of “No”. Drawing from decades of lived experience in boundary-setting and power dynamics, you will learn practical tools to speak clearly, hold your ground, and release the fear of displeasing others. Through discussion and experiential exercises, you’ll practice embodied boundary-setting, discover the strength of silence, and reclaim your right to take up space- without apology, without shrinking, and without asking permission.
Rose Krajnik
Rose Krajnik specializes in Ayurvedic and Yogic psychology, mental health coaching, and therapeutic art. She holds a B.A. in Ayurvedic Wellness and Integrative Health and an M.A. in Studio Art. She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Panchakarma Technician.
Rose believes that art is medicine, and medicine is art—and deep transformation happens when the two intertwine. Her work focuses on supporting mental, emotional and physical well-being through the integration of ancient wisdom and creative self expression.
Whether through painting, crafting, or holistic practices, she invites others to explore creativity as a path to healing, self-discovery, and empowerment.
Offering:
Sculpting the Sacred Feminine
In this workshop we’ll work with clay the way humans have done for thousands of years, with our hands, shaping earth into form.
You will create a small figurine inspired by feminine archetypes, ancient goddess forms, or simply an inner quality you wish to embody. Clay has a visceral quality to it. It asks you to slow down, feel, press, shape, and respond. Like kneading muscle and flesh you can connect to your own embodied experience as a woman. The process becomes less about “making something” and more about letting a form emerge through your hands and your spirit.
No art experience is needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy.
You’ll leave with a small sculpture and the experience of connecting with clay as a deeply embodied creative practice.
Lily Russo
I feel very fortunate to have been practicing yoga for the past 25 years. It has been a path of health, joy, transformation and empowerment since I was just a teen. Initially, it was the physical practice that captured my attention, but over the years this led me to study all the other facets including pranayama, meditation, tantra, and yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, as well as other influential disciplines, primarily Buddhism, the Tao te Ching, and plant medicines. I have participated in over 1000 hours of yoga trainings, and am an affiliate of Shiva Rea’s Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, leading 200 Hour Prana Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings. In 2023 I earned a Master of Science degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine from the Maharishi International University in Iowa.
As a Sacred Sensuality Guide, Yoga Teacher, Retreat Organizer, and Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner, my goal is to guide others to embody a path of connection to their higher Self, and be empowered to access the universal source of radiance, creativity, and healing. My deepest passion is connecting with women and guiding them to cultivate their natural feminine powers of sensuality, intuition, compassion, radiance and pleasure! I am the founder of Awakened Heart Retreats and Vision Carrier for WHWG. The vision for Wild Heart Women’s Gathering began as a deep yearning to connect more deeply to sisterhood, authenticity, my elemental body, and the natural cycles and powers of our wild Mother Earth. During the gathering I will be facilitating ceremony, movement medicine, song, and connection between all guests and the land we will be gathering on.
The Land:
Our gathering place, Deer Hill basecamp, in Mancos, Colorado, is located on 130 acres of meadowland and pinion-juniper forest at the base of Menefee Mountain in the Mancos River Valley. Located 30 miles west of Durango, CO, and six miles from Mesa Verde National Park, the Mancos Valley has a long tradition of agriculture, kept alive today in multigenerational ranches and small organic farms.
At Deer Hill, you’ll enjoy cozy common spaces, beautiful grounds, and a ranch-like feel. The strawbale-constructed Meeting Place, with its many south-facing windows, wood floors, and custom woodwork provides an inspiring venue for indoor movement and sound workshops.
Deer Hill’s beautiful outdoor grounds include lush grassy fields, shady cottonwood trees, hiking opportunities right from the property, and a great palapa on which to relax in the shade by the pond. Our outdoor workshops will take place in the soft grass beneath the biggest cottonwood; this gathering space will be affectionately called The Cottonwood.
The House, where the kitchen is located, is a great place to relax and read a book or play a game, and will be our indoor alternative in case of rain for any outdoor workshops. The House creates an incredibly authentic, homey feel at Deer Hill, as it was our Founders, Doug and Beverly Capelin’s, primary residence for most of Deer Hill’s history.
The Lodging:
The Camping options are plentiful in the valley of the Mancos Hills, where you will share your nights with wildflowers and wildlife.
The Bunkhouse cabins have an open floor plan, with bunkbeds along the perimeter. Tucked amongst the piñon and juniper trees, these cabins provide the classic “camp experience” for guests.
All campers and bunkhouse guests share the bathrooms in The Showerhouse.
The Loft is a beautiful second-story lodging option overlooking the valley with comfortable shared or private bedrooms and shared bathrooms.
Nourishment
Chef Chloe Bovoletis will be crafting up delicious, nourishing, gluten free, locally inspired brunches and dinners (2 meals per day, brunch and dinner, starting with dinner on Friday and ending with brunch on Monday.)
About Chloe:
My inspiration for working with food has bloomed from a deep relationship with wild lands along with a need for self healing. My journey with cooking began while healing and managing symptoms from multiple autoimmune diseases. Along the way, I’ve had many revelations of how food affects our mind, body, emotions, and overall vitality. That’s why I strive to offer the highest quality, organic, and local ingredients that I can gather from our regional food system. My focus is on preparing nutritious, balanced, whole food dishes that are made from scratch, with a specialty in customizing meals to meet special diets and food allergies. I’ve gathered over 15 years of experience from foraging and working with wild foods. I’ve been employed as a raw foods chef, a tempeh maker, a fermenting specialist, as an in-home personal chef and a caterer for a variety of retreats. I believe food is medicine and meal times are a ceremony for body, soul, and the senses. I’m excited to bring my soulful, creative, cuisine to elevate your experience!
Please Note:
Teas, fresh fruits, and filtered water will be available throughout the day.
Please bring your own snacks. Suggestions are fruit, dates, bars, nuts, seeds, and superfood drink mixes.
Special diets will be lovingly accommodated to the best of our ability.

Body Work
Hope Miller
My name is Hope Miller, I am a certified Rolfer and Reiki Practitioner based out of Durango, CO. The goal with all of my sessions is to help you return to your body and find alignment and ease as you interact with the world around you. The patterns that we hold onto in our lives manifest as tension and disorganization in our bodies. When we have more spaciousness and options for movement, we open up a whole world of possibilities and we can interact with the world differently and more openly. Rolfing is designed to help your body come back to its natural alignment so you can spend less energy fighting gravity and put more energy towards what is alive in you. I pair Rolfing's fascia and alignment work with energy work to find what is blocked in your body and encourage your body to let go of these patterns that are no longer serving you. Photography
Hi! I’m Jordan, the photographer behind Ponderosa Portraits, based in the San Juan Mountains in/around Durango, CO. For the past several years I’ve been documenting love stories, intimate weddings, and meaningful elopements in wild places. I shoot both digital and 35mm film and am drawn to creating images that feel nostalgic, honest, and full of emotion. I love noticing the little details that make a moment special, like wind moving through the trees, creased faces of friends laughing together, or the quiet in-between memories that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I grew up exploring these mountains, and my relationship with nature is a big part of how I see and photograph the world. For me, photography is really about connection with each other, with ourselves, and with the places we gather. I’m so honored to be part of the Wild Heart Women’s Gathering and to spend time with such an incredible community of women while documenting this experience!

This year, we’re warmly welcoming moms with infants under one to join us—with your little one in tow! If you plan to bring your baby, please include a note with your registration and select the camping option.
We suggest attending with a close friend or mother figure if possible, so you can take turns caring for your baby and also have some time to fully participate and recharge.
We lovingly welcome the natural presence of babies, including soft baby sounds during most activities. For quieter moments, we kindly ask you to be mindful of the group and step out when needed to maintain a peaceful space for all. A quiet area will also be available during the day if you or your baby need a break or a place to rest.
We’re so glad to have you with us.
Testimonials
“I arrived feeling nervous, uncertain and tired. I left feeling revived, deeply nourished, and connected to source and sisterhood. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the privilege and opportunity to sit in circle with other striving women walking a path of courage, curiosity and spiritual growth. I was showered with permission to love myself, to love, to receive, and to slow down. My daily practice, which had waned in the business of spring time, was rejuvenated and has continued with me back into the so called real world. I feel lighter, connected to my joy, and expanded into more aspects of the feminine. There were SO many juicy nuggets of wisdom, pleasure, inspiration, joy, and celebration. This weekend was profoundly transformational for me on my path to a more embodied and loving life as a woman.” ~ Claire Broughton
This was my first year attending Wild Heart Retreats in Mancos, Colorado! The property is stunning with all the amenities/facilities you need to be comfortable during your stay! I had the chance to volunteer & get to know the core team over the weekend. Lily & everyone who creates Wild Heart greeted me with open arms which made me feel instantly at home! I highly recommend coming to Wild Heart to explore your feminine powers, do some very deep healing & awaken to your inner spirit! ~ Skye Schmelzer
“The wild heart women’s retreat was an incredible gift. It gave me a safe space to truly connect to other women on the deepest of levels. I was able to find so many ways to return to my true self and I am inspired moving forward to find ways to take the magic of this retreat and incorporate them into my daily life.” ~ Katie Butzen
“I am so grateful for the amount of "firsts" I had over this beautiful weekend. I was supported in stepping out of my comfort zone to experience a level of connection I have never felt so strongly among women. I didn't know anyone else who was attending, and left part of a sisterhood. This environment offered me space to start releasing hurts I've been carrying around for years. It allowed me to discover new things about myself and taught me to honor it all. "Good", "bad" and everything in between. I feel a new sense of self confidence, and a deep knowing of my capabilities to tend to my own heart, so I am never alone. As well as my feminine health and well being. I am committed to advocate for my wants, needs and desires with a fierce passion, because I KNOW and BELIEVE I DESERVE them. It was powerful and heartfelt, gentle and challenging, everything I didn't know I needed. It was amazing, these women are amazing, WOMEN ARE AMAZING. I am so much more comfortable in my own skin, it's lovely.” ~ Danielle Wilcock
“The Awakened Heart retreat I attended was so beautifully crafted. It cracked me wide open and inspired me in the most profound way. The caliber of facilitators and teachers were absolutely mind blowing. I wish every human being could experience an Awakened Heart retreat.” ~ Victoria Fitzgerald
“Attending a women’s gathering of this magnitude gave me a place to fit in. A place that I did not realize I so desperately needed and longed for. Having this many women together, talking of subjects that are taboo in this day in age, is truly healing. We spoke together, felt together, and healed together. The power of feminine togetherness has the capacity to change the world. My divine feminine felt this union in my bones and soul. It was cathartic in an ancient way. A way that my soul applauded for finally figuring out. This event changed me. It has made me more confident as a wombman, more accepting as a human, and most importantly announced a call to action for my purpose here. I have deep gratitude for this event and its facilitators. The space held at the Wild Heart Women’s Gathering was divinely designed for true growth. It was a magical container to aid me in my transformation and I am truly blessed to have been a part of it. I would recommend this event to any wombman in my life without a hint of hesitation.” ~ Emma Hooper
“When I registered for the retreat I imagined a gathering with women at a beautiful place and hoped to learn more about yoga and plants. I had no idea the transformation I would receive in just one weekend. The physical pain I had in my shoulder and hip (that I had resigned to just living with) went away. I learned so much about the energy I had been storing that needed to be released. I felt my heart open to receive love. I feel so inspired by so many of the women that I met. I just can't get enough. I want to sign up for everything that is offered by all of the wonderful teachers at this retreat. Something in me changed this weekend that I want to explore more deeply. I have deep gratitude for everyone that I met during this gathering. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!” ~ Veronica Pritchett
“The Wild Heart Women’s Gatherings are a sacred and safe place for women to nourish deeply, learn greatly, expand and connect with other leaders in the community and beyond. I use these long weekends as a retreat for myself to unplug, play, find edges, experiment and make deeper connections. I am incredibly grateful for these events and plan to continue to prioritize them for myself as they are a beautiful support for growth and love.” ~ Ani Silversprings
